In this lesson, we will review plural and singular nouns. Luckily, this concept is very similar in both Spanish, English, and many other languages.

En esta lección, repasaremos sustantivos en plural y singular. Afortunadamente, este concepto es muy similar en español, inglés y muchos otros idiomas.

Definition

In English, the majority of the time, you can indicate whether or not something is “plural” by the appearance of the “s” at the end of the noun.

En inglés, la mayoría de las veces, puede indicar si algo es "plural" mediante la aparición de la "s" al final del sustantivo.

Watch out for irregular nouns!

Not all plural verbs just end with “s”. In English, there are many special nouns whose plural conjugation breaks the “s” rule".

No todos los verbos en plural terminan con "s". En inglés, hay muchos sustantivos especiales cuya conjugación plural rompe la regla de la "s" ".
