How to use the phrase “My day is going ….”
You will hear people all the time say the phrase, “My day is going …”. In this case, you have to use an adverb to describe the verb, “going”.
My day is going ... poorly

My day is going ... perfectly

My day is going ... quickly
^verb. ^adverb
Just so you know! Not all adverbs end with -ly. “Great”, “fast”, and “well” are common adverbs that do NOT use the -ly suffix.
