Mr. MacDonald

Mr. MacDonald was the most serious boss that Jen has ever had. Everything in his office was white, gray, or black. The most interesting thing on his desk was a red pen that he used to mark mistakes on any document that crossed his path. Even on Christmas, he didn’t decorate. 

Jen decided to try to bring some excitement into Mr. MacDonald’s office. She found out when his birthday was and secretly told her coworkers her plan to decorate his office the night before his birthday. Most of them laughed and told her that her plan will not work. However, she was determined. Surprise birthdays always made her happy, so why wouldn’t it make her boss happy?

After work on the day before Mr. MacDonald’s birthday, she bought lots and lots of decorations. She went back into the office after everyone left and decorated his office. How would he react, she wondered. Tanya hoped that he would appreciate her efforts.
