“To do”

“To do” is used with most household chores.

I do the dishes.

I do the laundry.

I do the cleaning.

I do the washing.

I do chores.

I do the tasks.

I do the lawn mowing.

“To make”

“To make” is used with the bed and meals.

I make the bed.

I make breakfast.

I make dinner.

To clean:

I clean the dishes. You clean my room. He cleans my house. We clean the basement. They clean the surroundings.

To wash:

I wash the dishes. You wash the car. She washes the bathtub. We wash the windows. They wash the car.

To scrub:

I scrub the dishes. You scrub the toilet. He scrubs the bathroom. We scrub the dishes. They scrub the floor.

To vacuum:

I vacuum the carpet. You vacuum the living room. He vacuums the room. We vacuum the bedroom. They vacuum the rug.
