History
In 1974, archeologists discovered the “Terrecotta Army”, a collection of over 9,000 sculptures that were buried in the tomb of Qin Sin Huang, the first emperor of China. The purpose of the army was so that the emperor would be protected in the afterlife.
It was 2018 when the #TerracottaWarriors came to visit @World_Museum, bringing 600,000 visitors with them and generating £78m for Liverpool. 👏 We can't wait to see what's next @NML_Muse. pic.twitter.com/q5YMWliLnM
